The scarf/caplet pictured is made from long wool locks that I have meticulously washed and dyed. It is then carefully laid out on a wool blend base. Using a process that can be a little tricky, I wet felt the base wool, leaving the locks alone to hang freely.
I have been spinning since 1980, and felting since 1986. On my Etsy shop I sell fibers, felted scarves, hand-spun yarn, hand-knit dog fur hats and ear bands. Many of the fibers are local Pacific Northwest fibers or blends with local fibers. I also have some commercially processed New Zealand wool and glitzy fibers. In addition to fibers, I sell Vintage Czech Glass Buttons.
